As a trained sculptor I never found a material that is more alive and inspiring than wood and the “simple” shapes of these important utensils of our daily lives. Spoons have fed so many cultures through so many times throughout history and it is still joyful activity, a fascination and a wonderful, exciting field of exploration to me.
In 2020 I found my love of spoon making. With spoon making came teaching. My courses are an invitation to let go of ideas and to go into making, involving all our senses and giving space for the process to find the beauty of movement in this shape.
